USMC Gulf War 1991

The United States Marine Corps played a significant role in the Gulf War of 1990-1991, which was fought between a coalition led by the United States and Iraq. The USMC contributed more than 92,000 personnel to the conflict, and their operations included the amphibious assault on Kuwaiti beaches and the liberation of Kuwait City. The USMC also provided support to ground operations, as well as air and naval forces. Their success in the Gulf War cemented their reputation as one of the world's premier fighting forces.
